Despite individual staff being polite & helpful on the phone, CAF bank feels very antiquated meaning transactions that take a matter of minutes at other banks are large, cumbersome tasks. The fact that international payments have to be requested through the post is almost laughable. Their rejection of E-signatures was surprising seeing as they are accepted in UK law courts! Persuading them to allow me to put a mobile number down as no staff member had a personal land-line is indicative I think of the era this bank still runs from. I do not think CAF have yet caught up to the way charities and organisations run. The charges applied for many of the transactions undertaken to run a small - medium size charity is also pretty shocking. I would not recommend a charity to use CAF especially if they make international payments on a regular basis.
Awful....i have had my application lost and they made me fill out another which was promptly lost, i double checked my details and was openly lied to ...i am now filling out my third form ! really useless customer service and a disgrace..... this is last chance saloon for me i have lost funding over this !

I've been using CAF bank for a charity I work with for 3 years. In that time I have never had a negative experience. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Having been involved in the Charity sector for 30 plus years, CAF used to be the bank I would always choose and recommend, but no longer. Their customer service is appalling - they recently barred all users without any warning, and rejected a transfer from our "Gold" account (which now pays a derisory interest) to our cash to cover salary and other payments, and rejected the salary and pension payments, resulting in staff not being paid and pension payments being late. Took three days to sort out.
