Lovely curry in a spacious restaurant with low volume background music and good service. Usual expensive drinks.
Great curry, nice setting. I'd give a solid 8/10. A little on the pricey side though.
I ordered a takeaway for 2 people got home and there was one main dish missing so I went to go get another one which meant my food is now cold and I spoke to a very large man and he replied My order doesnt matter because its so small which obviously is gobsmacked that he said that and he then carried on being Rude when I got home I also noticed that the source was extremely thin and watery and had a hair in the new dish, I am disgusted with the way Ive been treated I will never buy an Indian here again.
Alas Traditional British Indian Food. Hi knew it well...Being a brummie I could argue that I know good Indian food when I see and taste it. Gufaa Raja knows how to prepare Traditional British Indian food. It prepares it well. It is a plush, spacious venue, excellent for groups. It offers umpteen menu choices from supposedly all over India (I think Afghanistan was mentioned on the menu too).Traditional British style Indian food just doesnt cut In anymore for me. It is a muddle of flavours with very little difference from one dish to the next.Kent needs to look to the big cities which now are beginning to offer a refreshing change: Streatery, Regional Indian and fusion restaurants. Thats where I feel places like Gufaa Raja should be progressing.
Very nice food. Very comfortable and clean restaurant. The service was a little slow. But did not effect the evening in any way. Would definitely recommend!
